Laura and Matt, Sutton Bonington Hall

This is the rather cool Laura and Matt at one of my favourite venues Sutton Bonington Hall. Its no secret how much i love shooting at this venue, the atmosphere, the style, the staff, theres loads of reasons but most of all its because of the relaxed couples that book me to shoot there and Laura and Matt were no exception. Laura looked amazing upstaged only by daughter Hermoine of course and the styling and lovely touches like a treasure hunt for the kids all went to make a great day.

Shameless plug here but the stunning details at the wedding, including the photo tree, menus, the amazing miniature Banksy style canvases and the Harry Potter Sorting Hat favours pictured in this blog post were all hand made by artist / graphic designer and more importantly Groom for the day, Matt.

caroline and paul, thrumpton hall

A selection of images from Caroline and Paul’s wedding at Thrumpton Hall in Nottinghamshire.

It was a great wedding for me to shoot as i know from past weddings how lovely Thrumpton Hall is, also i have known Caroline and Paul for a number of years. What wasn’t so great for the guests was our great british weather which decided to rain from the moment the ceremony finished, to the moment the reception meal started. Luckily the interior of the hall is great to work in, also is was shooting up until the first dance, so we had plenty of time after dinner for photos outside.
Big thanks to Caroline, Paul and all the guests for being great on the day, it was a real pleasure.

Caroline and Tim, Wysall

Congratulations to Caroline and Tim who were married in Wysall, Notts on the 9th Jan 1010.

This was my first wedding of the new year and we had snow, a lot of snow. It was a brilliant day the only problem was it was very very cold. So a huge thank you to all the guests, especially Caroline who braved the freezing temperatures for the photos.

Laura and Matt, West Bridgford / Sutton Bonington Hall

Last Thursday saw me heading up the road to West Bridgford to shoot Laura and Matt’s wedding at St Giles Church, and then onto one of my favourite venues Sutton Bonington Hall.

The great British summer continued with a mixture of sunshine and huge downpours with the added drama of thunder and lightning just as Laura arrived at the church. The ushers did a fantastic job of keeping the bride dry and it made one of my favourite shots of the year so far.
