Now this was first for me as it’s usually kids who upstage the bride at weddings but this ceremony was different, the real stars of the day were Heidi and Dan’s three rather fantastic dogs who basically walked Heidi down the aisle. When i met the couple and chatted about the photos the only thing they were concerned about was that i got shots of the dogs.
The day was brilliant as i was photographing in two of my favourite venues. St Helens Church in Ashby de la Zouch as always is a dream to shoot in, the light and shade makes for some really dramatic shots and then onto Priest House by the river in Castle Donington.
Although it has fantastic grounds, great exterior, and the river nearby the interior of the Priest House can be quite tricky for the less experienced photographer but if handled correctly it has great potential. But the real reason i like the Priest House so much is that i had my own wedding reception there 7 years ago today, (happy anniversary Em)
Congratulations Heidi and Dan, it was a real pleasure to capture your wedding day.
